Batten down the hatches!!

So hurricane Ike is making it's way to our fine city.  It's time to batten down the hatches and tie down anything that ain't already nailed down.  I'm gonna ride it out in my home.  (I'm more inland away from the coastal storm surge.)  I do expect heavy winds and I can probably bank on power loss.  You could fart and we'd lose power.

They havn't made any official announcements yet on the Texans vs. Ravens game but they are supposed to have a decision by noon central time.  If I hear anything about the game being postponed I'll let you know.

Good luck to my fellow Houstonians and Galveston residents!  They have issued a mandatory evacuation for all of Galveston county.  I hope you all heed the warning and get to higher ground.

Be safe, be smart, and stay high and dry!  I'll check in later but I may be off for a few days depending on where Ike decides to make landfall.

Cheers!

Batten down the hatches!!

To all "Houstonians,"

I hope you realize its not Ike you need to worry about.  You need to get prepared Hurricanes Ray Lewis, Ed Reed and Willis McGahee when they come in to dole out a Category 5 schlacking of the weak Texans. Its a shame the city is gonna get hit with two natural disasters this weekend, Ike and the Ravens D!   Oh yeah, whatcha know bout JJJOOOOEEE FLLLLAAAAAACCCCOOO!!!!

On a serious note though, all those in harms way be safe if you stay, but do the smart thing and evacuate.  It

Batten down the hatches!!

Thanks Dawnie!  I think we will be okay.  I'll get back on once I get power back and Ike has moved on to slapping around someone else.  First Tina, now the Texas coast, abusive bas**#^ that Ike guy is!

Thanks for the thoughts!  Maybe we'll get lucky and I'll be able to get a new roof from my insurance company out of this.  (I always try to look at the bright side.) lol.
